Privacy Policy for Melody Saver

This Privacy Policy describes how [Eaze Labs] ("we," "us," "our," or the "Developer") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Melody Saver mobile application (the "App"), a melody idea recorder available on Google Play. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Who We Are

The App is developed and operated by [Eaze Labs], based in [Kolkata, West Bengal, India]. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), and the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), we act as the data controller / Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described below.

2. How Melody Saver Handles Your Recordings

Melody Saver is designed to work entirely on your device. Your audio recordings, layered tracks, and saved ideas are stored locally in the App's storage on your phone. We do not upload, transmit, listen to, or otherwise access the content of your recordings on our own servers, unless you explicitly choose to export or share a file yourself (for example, exporting a stem to another app, saving to your device's shared storage, or sharing a file through a messaging or cloud app of your choice).

2.1 Permissions the App Requests

2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect the audio content of your recordings on our servers, your precise GPS location, contacts, SMS, call logs, camera data, financial/payment information, or government identity documents. The App does not currently require an account or sign-in.

3. Third-Party Services

If enabled, the App may use the following third-party service:

We do not currently show third-party advertising or offer in-app purchases in the App. If either is introduced in the future, this Policy will be updated before that feature launches to disclose what's collected, by whom, and your choices (including opting out of personalized ads where applicable).

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. Because the App is local-first, there is very little to share by default. We may share limited technical/analytics data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: with vendors such as Google (for analytics/crash reporting, if enabled) who process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security obligations
• Your own actions: when you export or share a recording yourself through your device's share sheet, storage, or another app — that transfer is controlled by you and governed by the destination app's own privacy policy
• Legal requirements: if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or ourselves
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply to your data

5. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your recordings and idea files are stored locally on your device using standard OS-level app storage protections. If you use your device's backup features (e.g. Google's built-in device backup), your recordings may be included in that backup subject to your device manufacturer's and Google's own policies, not ours. If analytics is enabled, that limited technical data is stored on secure, industry-standard infrastructure provided by our service provider.

Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage will delete your locally saved recordings and idea files from your device, unless you have separately backed them up or exported them elsewhere.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 If You Are Located in India (DPDP Act, 2023)

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to: obtain a summary of your personal data being processed; request correction, completion, or updating of your personal data; request erasure of your personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected; withdraw consent at any time; and register a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India. Since Melody Saver stores your recordings locally, you can exercise most of these rights directly by deleting recordings in-app or uninstalling the App. For anything else, contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 9.

6.2 If You Are Located in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6.3 If You Are a California Resident (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below this age. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal data may contact us using the details in Section 9.

8. International Data Transfers

Because your recordings are stored locally on your device, no international transfer of that content occurs through us. If analytics is enabled, limited technical data may be processed by our service provider's global infrastructure (which may include the United States), using appropriate safeguards where required.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — including if we add cloud sync, accounts, ads, or in-app purchases. We will post the revised policy at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice before the changes take effect.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
